Your Guide to Lab-Grown Diamonds
Understanding diamonds doesn't have to be complicated. We'll walk you through everything you need to know to make a confident decision.
Lab-Grown vs. Mined Diamonds
Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds. They share the exact same chemical composition (pure carbon), crystal structure, and physical properties as mined diamonds.
The difference? Lab diamonds are created in controlled environments using advanced technology that replicates the conditions under which diamonds naturally form in the Earth's mantle.
Two methods are used:
- HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature) — Mimics natural diamond formation
- CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) — Grows diamonds layer by layer from a carbon-rich gas
Both methods produce diamonds that are optically, chemically, and physically identical to mined diamonds. Even expert gemologists cannot distinguish between them without specialized equipment.
Why Choose Lab-Grown?
50-70% Less
Same quality for a fraction of the price
100% Ethical

Identical Quality
Same fire, brilliance, and durability
IGI Certified
Independently verified quality and authenticity
Understanding the 4Cs
The 4Cs — Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat — are the universal standard for evaluating diamond quality. Here's what each means for you.
Read the Complete 4Cs Guide →Cut
Most ImportantCut determines how well a diamond reflects light. A well-cut diamond will have exceptional brilliance, fire, and scintillation. We only offer Excellent and Ideal cut grades.
💡 We recommend Excellent or Ideal cut for maximum sparkle.
Color
Colour RangeDiamond color is graded from D (colorless) to Z (light yellow). The less color, the higher the grade. Most people can't detect color differences within 2-3 grades.
💡 D-F offers excellent value — colourless to the naked eye.
Clarity
VS2 and UpClarity measures the presence of inclusions (internal) and blemishes (external). Most inclusions are microscopic and invisible without magnification.
💡 We recommend VS2 and up for a truly eye-clean look with confidence.
Carat
Size & WeightCarat refers to the diamond's weight, not size. Larger diamonds are rarer and more valuable. Consider the "magic sizes" just under popular weights for better value.
💡 Elongated shapes such as oval and marquise will face up larger than a round diamond shape of the same carat size.
Diamond Shapes
Shape is a matter of personal preference. Each has its own character and brilliance.
